Core Concepts
πΌ Projects
We call project a set of cost, whether services running in public clouds or added cost in the onpremise accounts.
You can create as many projects as you want. You can also create sub-projects to better organize your costs.
βοΈ Accounts
In accounts you will find all the clouds that you have connected.
Clouds
Cloud accounts are those accounts that belong to a public cloud. You can connect as many AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and IBM Cloud accounts as you want.
On Premise
On Premise accounts (also known as private clouds) are accounts that allow you to add costs from your local servers, as well as associated resource costs (personnel, equipment, licenses, etc.)
You can create as many On Premise accounts as you want.
πΈ Cloud costs
In the cloud costs module, you will find the costs that you are having in the different public clouds that you have connected.
Here you can categorize each of them and assign them to the project or projects that belong.
These costs are synchronized daily with the api billing of each provider, so the information of the current month will be updated every day.
π° On premise costs
The on premise costs module will allow us to add each cost we have in our local infrastructure, as well as the associated costs (personnel, licenses, etc.)
When we add each of them it will allow us to indicate if it is a single or recurring expense, and in the last case the periodicity of it.
In turn, we can categorize each of them and assign them to the project or projects to which they belong.
π Reports
In the main dashboard we will find 2 types of reports in which we can visualize all the information related to the economy of our projects.
Report by date
In this report we will be able to visualize how the costs were distributed in a period. We can filter them by currency, projects in which they occurred, accounts or categories.
We will also be able to detect the unallocated costs we had in the selected period.
Report by project
In this report we can obtain information about the costs of a specific project. We will be able to know the evolution of the same over time, in which accounts they are, what categories they have, if they are unique or recurring, and what type they are (on premise or cloud)
We will also obtain a list of all the costs that the project had in the selected period.
